🥑 Here Are My Best Keto Staple Foods

hey what's up ketonians? Okay so you've decided to start the keto diet the only problem is you have no idea what to shop for don't worry because in this video I'm gonna run through my best keto staples to shop for so stick around welcome back in this video I'm gonna quickly cover some of the foods that I regularly shot for since I started keto I've been collecting recipes that I regularly make these are some of the ingredients that I try to have on hand so that they don't always have to pre-plan what I'm making for dinner when I'm building a shopping list I try to incorporate items that are low-carb packed with nutrients and also versatile to cook with I'm gonna break down my list into proteins healthy fats dairy produce and then some other stuff for proteins I buy fresh wild salmon salmon has tons of health benefits and one of the cleanest non fishy tasting fish and has omega-3 fatty acids that you need I have an awesome salmon recipe that we probably once a week that I'll try to get posted soon so stay tuned for that chicken breast and chicken thighs are super easy to put with almost anything and the thighs are higher fat content which is good for keto as well believe it or not bacon is on the menu with keto the high fat content is super good and let's be honest who doesn't love bacon just make sure it's no sugar added and nitrate free if possible beef chuck roast is super easy to throw on my favorite kitchen gadget which is my instant pot I'll link the one that I use down below in the description eggs are pretty much a must with the keto diet they basically have every essential nutrient the body needs except for vitamin C and the options for cooking are limitless to be honest though I was never real big fan of eggs until I started eating keto lastly I try to always have grass-fed ground beef if you can swing the extra cost always try to buy grass-fed needs breastfed needs tend to have higher amounts of omega-3 fatty acids an antioxidant versus grain-fed means for the healthy fats I'll try to make sure I always have olive oil or avocado oil some coconut oil real butter not margarine ghee if you can find it which is clarified butter in a glass jar and it's generally in the Indian food section of your grocery store from the dairy section I'll make should've grabbed heavy whipping cream which is great for coffee desserts and a bunch of other things and basically has no carbs cheese is a super easy snack and great for cooking or throwing on a salad in general the harder the cheese the lower the carb content so be careful I typically grab a tub of pre shredded Parmesan a block of Kobe Jack and maybe a pouch of mozzarella when it comes to produce I try to stay away from most fruits because of the higher sugar content and the fact that you can easily get any nutrient and fruit from vegetables without the carbs if I'm craving fruit I might grab a few raspberries or blackberries since they're the lowest carb fruit for vegetables I'll stick to the ones that grow above ground since they have fewer carbs I'll grab a bag of pre chopped kale spinach salad greens avocados zucchini broccoli and cauliflower when it comes to vegetables you generally want to eat fresh and cook the least amount of time since heating them tends to remove most of the nutrients the one exception here is I almost always buy frozen free rice cauliflower I make keto fried rice quite often and having a bag of rice cauliflower I can pop in makes it super simple to make okay that covers most of it but there are a few things that don't fit those categories such as raw almonds which are super good for snacking and almond flour for cooking and baking also coconut flour which is in tons of keto recipes dark chocolate is another one just make sure it's at least 85% and doesn't have any sugar added I started using Lily's chocolate chips they're a little bit pricey but they're awesome for baking and desserts and they only have three net carbs for 60 chips there are tons of items that can make this list but these are just some of the ones that I buy regularly let me know what staple foods made your list in the comments and if you found this video useful please take a second to click the subscribe button and also the bellow icon to make sure you get notified when we drop new videos thanks for watching

My 4-Day Keto Meal Plan

what is going on guys and welcome back to the fit men cook kitchen so I'm really excited about today's video because we are doing another amazing meal prep video with a special catch so I know that y'all have been emailing me and tweeting me asking for more keto recipes so today we'll be making a quick and easy for day keto meal plan now for those of y'all who are not familiar with keto I want to invite you to check out my eight-week keto transformation that I did last year and y'all know just from watching that video that her brother got some amazing results and I know that you will too so with that in mind I also wanted to just go a little bit one step further with this video it's also going to be available inside of the meal prep Pro app that allows you to customize it for your dietary needs for you and your partners so if you want this four day meal plan that you can customize for you and your household then you can go and download the new prep Pro app right now if you are ready to roll up your sleeves and get your hands a little dirty then let's get started first up we'll make any cheesy cloud biscuits with smoked salmon and cream cheese set the oven to 350 into a bowl at almond flour cheddar baking powder and cayenne stir it up and make a well in the center of the bowl and crack the eggs inside then mix everything together add a little heavy cream and mix to form a dry dough people had a mixture before my patty on a baking sheet place it in the oven for 18 to 20 minutes then allow them to cool on a wire rack now you can add these to your meal prep container or you can build the sandwich to enjoy right away slice it open add cream cheese mixed green salmon and a squeeze of lemon oh yeah next up we're making chocolate and peanut butter balls with shredded coconut because we're fancy like that at peanut butter cacao stevia vanilla extract coconut oil chia seeds and almond flour mix it all up line a small tray with parchment paper and pour in the mix freeze for 20 minutes then we're going to cut it into chunks based on your desired portion size and the number of days you're prepping for once you've done that then coat the bites with unsweetened shredded coconut store these in the fridge until you're ready to eat next we'll make an extra crispy sesame chicken thighs set your oven to 400 then to a bowl we're gonna add sesame seeds almond flour sea salt and pepper mix it up then set the bowl aside to a separate Bowl we're gonna crack an egg add heavy cream and whisk together dip the chicken thigh in the egg mixture followed by the sesame seeds place the thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 30 minutes or until it's cooked through steam some broccoli florets then add the chicken and broccoli to meal prep containers and garnish with red bell pepper and spring onion if desired mix together sesame oil and soy sauce then drizzle on top serve it up and enjoy it with fresh lime and finally we're making an almost Philly cheese steak and roasted bell peppers set the oven at 350 then cut the top off the bell peppers and remove the insides place on a baking tray and spray with olive oil roast in the oven for 10 minutes set a nonstick skillet on medium heat then add olive oil and onion cook until the onions turn brown and translucent then we're gonna add in more oil your chopped steak mushrooms and oregano cook until the steak is done about 8 to 10 minutes now let's build the cheesesteak at a little steak and mushroom cream cheese more steak then jalapenos for some heat top it all off with provolone place under the broiler for five minutes to brown and melt the cheese serve with a mix garden salad all right guys that's it you got four meals in four days now you can find the link to download these amazing recipes under this video and hey if you like this video then be sure you smash that like button too now if you're ready to take things to the next level and you'd like a new weekly meal plan just like the one delivered to you this week then make sure that you give the meal prep pro app a try the app creates a tailored keto meal plan that's customized to you and your goals meal prep pro is free ninety nine to download and comes with a seven day free trial until next time guys remember to keep it healthy but of course never ever boring Oh

KETO WHAT I EAT IN A DAY SESAME CHICKEN RECIPE | My New LOVE!

hey guys welcome back for another quito flock I just made myself some iced coffee it's super hot today in Florida you saw I had just a simple salad today for lunch it was romaine lettuce some avocado and leftover of grilled chicken with some tomatoes and I just put some Thousand Island dressing over it just a bump the bets a little bit more I have a confession to make and it's not an easy one guys yeah it's true um I fell in love like it happens to the best of us I just it's such a strong feeling I can't even describe it well what my husband says about it well he just have to get used to it that I have a big heart and I have to fill it up with all the love I know that you probably very curious who I fell in love with um I'm gonna tell you surprised oh we got a results I'm funny this is my secret love and it's a girl and is she absolutely adorable it was love at the first sight touch everything she's my fluff ball and I love her so much did I scare you a little bit no we're not getting divorced oh I don't know maybe we're living in an RV and I have already three animals so I don't know do you like love her or what the most precious baby so yeah this is the surprise this is the one I fell in love with um it was very quick it took me about 30 seconds okay guys I gotta put this rub it down and start preparing some dinner it's seven o'clock I think today I'm gonna make a sesame chicken with broccoli I'm trying to do like a little Asian style like you would order from a Chinese restaurant so let's see how that will go so the ingredients i will be using i cut cubed one big chicken breast I'm gonna steam whole bunch of broccoli I'm gonna need one egg and some cornstarch to do a butter for the chicken I'm gonna need some oil pepper so it's a Chinese food so of course soy sauce I'm gonna need about tablespoon of vinegar some fresh ginger and block of garlic and I would forget sesame seeds so I'm gonna start by making the batter for the chicken so just egg and go and stop mix it up together one egg a little bit of cornstarch we'll see how much I actually end up using what I start with I think this is fine so I edit some salt and pepper and I'm gonna really coat it well yeah I'm gonna put it aside and prepare the sauce you're gonna need 2 tbsp of soy sauce 1 tablespoon of sesame oil 1 tablespoon of vinegar mix it good I would love to use rice vinegar but I don't have it so I have to use seiyya well hopefully will work two tablespoons of sesame seeds gonna add one garlic claw I'm using this cheese shorter well I will stink like a garlic for a couple hours but I managed and then about one centimeter of this ginger it's about half of it mix it up so now I just need to fry up the chicken and some more of this SME oil until it's really nice golden and crispy and I'm gonna mix it up with the sauce we just made and I'm gonna steam the broccoli and make some rice for Rob and we're done very easy I added some spring onion and I'm just gonna top it with some more sesame seeds yep YUM and we're gonna eat and enjoy it so next time you'll take Chinese takeout no we're gonna order in Eva's kitchen look what I got you don't drop it mmm hey guys I made these Kido chocolate I'm gonna link a recipe for dos I filmed it today for you as well they're really good you're gonna eat them a little fast because they're from coconut also they melt but very good so that's what we could not have for dessert today so guys that's it for today's video I'm just gonna go out and cuddle with my bunny I hope you enjoyed it and if you did please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel and I'm gonna see you in the next video bye so next time you're gonna take take outs from China no from China from the Chinese you

Let's go ahead and get into the video Okay So first thing first I am going to be using these meatless meatballs They are from Gardein It is vegan and dairy-free And I really do like these meatballs just like I know some of my favorite like vegan and vegetarian meat are from Gardein Morningstar Farms and I have only tried Three meats from the company Tofurkey and I've like two out of three of those meats So yeah, okay

So nutrition facts for three meatballs It is 150 calories seven grams of fat nine grams of carbs three grams of fiber So that's six grams of net carbs and then 14 grams of protein so here are these spaghetti noodles that I love ever so much y'all they are vegan, gluten free, and Great for like low carb and keto friendly diets I know you can get this brand from Publix and Walmart, if you can't find it at your store, I'll try to Link it down below in the description box, and I also have it in my Amazon favorites Okay So I just went ahead and let my spaghetti Noodles on drain putting on some hot water then just let it drain But now I'm going to go ahead and put my seasonings on my noodles My meatballs are already cooking Because I like doing it where I just have my meatballs cooking because if I let these noodles stay Too long in the oven or on the stove or whatever They're gonna burn so that's what we're not trying to do all my mom has is this Extra-virgin olive oil So this is what I'm going to be cooking with Okay guys, so this is what everything looks like so good Oh my gosh now see this meatless meatballs like I said this is one of my favorite keto friendly and Vegan friendly meals that I made and plus I worked out today So I feel like I deserve this meal, but seriously though y'all look at this You can't even tell that this is vegan meat like this looks like good old regular Meatballs Alright y'all

So what I'm having to drink is my diet cranberry juice Oh my gosh Y'all love this so much nutrition facts so for the whole bottle It is ten calories zero grams of fat three grams of carbs one gram of fiber and 0 grams of protein I love this drink so much y'all I have to limit myself to one though one a day no more than one a day, and I'm also going to make sure I Drink water with this because you know your girl gotta make sure get my water and you know What y'all gonna be doing the same thing? Keto Cured My Emotional Eating

Good morning, sunshines I am not awake yet

I apologize, but I've been thinking about the last video Last video I said that I had not lost very much weight the last month and I felt like i needed to explain something because I don't want you to think, "Well, keto is not working because she's not losing any real weight anymore" But what you don't know is other factors that can stall weight loss Like, the astronomical level of stress that I've been dealing with for the last month The last week in particular, but the last month has been exceptionally stress filled for me and we've all heard about cortisol and how stress can really stall our weight loss and things

And while I stand firm on the scale is not everything I also did not lose much in the way of inches once I took my measurements after the last video, so I don't want anyone to watch that and question the effectiveness of keto and how can I say keto is my miracle worker when I have already stopped losing much weight Last month seems like it might have not been a win and that keto is already failing me, but here are the things that I did not talk about that will hopefully help you understand why I still consider keto a win even when my weight or my inches aren't reflecting it The way that I used to deal with stress pre keto This is what life is nowpre keto and post ketopre keto The way that I dealt with stress was food I am a lifelong, taught at childhood, emotional eater If I felt empty, I filled it up If I was stressed, let's just eat all the things

If I was sad or happy or bored, let's just eat Let's not feel whatever it is we need to feel and deal with right now Let's just eat Let'slet's just bury all of our feelings in a mound of carbsusually

I haven't ever had to really sit with my feelings and deal with them and move through them in a rational normal person kind of way I just ate until I didn't feel anymore And with that came the development of food addiction on top of it So, that's another video I'm just saying One thing that keto has done for me outside of weight loss, is remove my ability to emotionally eat Not just because I can't eat the things and call myself keto, but because I don't have the desire It's taken away cravings

Like, I have battled hard core cravings my entire life There was a stint on paleo where I professed not having cravings for the first time in my life, but thinking back, that wasn't entirely true because I still craved sweet things, I just satisfied it with fruit I can't have fruit on keto I can have low glycemicberriesthings like that that won't screw with blood sugar, but all in all fruit is a no-no So already

I'm not even gonna say in three months because these demons were conquered very early onemotional eating and cravings aren't an issue Haven't been an issue for three months Um Another way that keto is still working for me is, I am diabetic and my blood sugar has been phenomenal I am seeing, more often than not, normal person blood sugar numbers Even first thing in the morning, when mine has always been so exceptionally high My blood sugar tests are coming back as if I don't even have diabetes And they are stable throughout the day, so my feeling tired

I can now rule out that I must feel tired because of blood sugar spikes and dips and being all over the place because they are stablemostly That helps me troubleshoot why it is I might feel so tired I have adrenal fatigue, soum I am more likely to blame it on that instead of diabetes which helps me find a solution And I will talk about adrenal fatigue and diabetes and things like that in another video, but I want to point out that while you think keto is this fad diet

that just it's the rage right now, keto has actually been around since the 1920's or 30's? It was developed as a treatment for epilepsy keto is a medicinal therapy It helps with, if not cures, a lot of things that are wrong with our bodies It helps with PCOS

It's been known to really help with autism It helps with adrenal fatigue, which is really what made me start to research keto, and it has been known to cure diabetes As much of a cure as you can have for diabetes They've always said that once you got it, you got it and that you can't just unring the bell But you can get off medication

You can live your life as if you don't have it You will still always have to be mindful of it and not revert back to being a carb eating crazed maniac

Um So that's all this video is I just wanted to expound on the fact that The number on the scale or the number on the tape measure is not your true north for whether or not a way of eating is right for you

That's what I want everyone to wrap their brains around because I'm healing my body through the food that I am eating and that is paramount for me Yes, I want to get smaller I don't want to be skinny I don't That's not my end goal I want to be healthier and get off all medication I take two different kinds of medication for diabetes So far that is all and I don't want to be on medication

I want to Give my body what it needs through the food that I eat and, soon, the exercise and movement and things that I do Sodo not get on my ass telling me that clearly keto doesn't work because it's only been three months and I've already slowed way down on weight loss

The last month of my life has been astronomically stressful And we're not gonna get into that We're gonna leave it at thatand move forward because that information, in and of itself, is a victory because previously I would have quit I would have told keto that it wasn't him, it was meand by me, I mean him

and that I was just gonna have to quit him and please don't call me anymore And we would have had to break up I don't know if it's the self-love revolution I talked, about in the last video Which you can watch by clicking that I don't know if it's just something that has come with age and experience or what it is, but my brain is different

The way that I look at this is different Maybe it's all the other work I did to stop trying to be a perfectionist because that derailed every weight loss attempt in the past I have never stuck to any weight loss attempts this long and my only logical explanation for that is that this way of eating has already changed so much of me on the inside Not just going from being a carb burner to a fat burner like ketosis does, but it's changed my brain and how I think about food It's no longer how much food can we get in my face as fast as possible because I'm starving because carbs don't sustain me

orI've just skipped three meals or something, and so I can't get food in my face fast enough Or thinking about food as nothing more than something to soothe my soul on a bad day Food is just fuel and I've heard people talk about food that way before Like food is just fuel It's like the gas you put in your car and I've always wanted to punch those people in the throat because that's not what food is

Food is everything! It's how we celebrate It's how we mourn

It's how we socialize It's always been everything andremember also last video when I said there would be tears? Food is no longer those things for me Jesus Nowfood is fuel I get it now

My bad You were right Food is fuel Does that mean I can't enjoy the food that I'm eating? No, it's not that It's just

I eat to live instead of living to eat And I will reserve all chatter about food addiction and anything else about emotional eating for another day, but it is so completely freeing to live this way versus how I've lived the last 41 years I don't know if keto will do that for you

I would suppose that it will because carbs are the devil, for me anyway, and the more you eat themthe more you want them So when they are not a part of your life, other than incidentally in vegetables or a few other things, then it changes your brain

It doesn't just change the way that your body uses the food that you give it, it changes your brain That's all I got Cuz I gotI got work to do, but I wanted to I wanted to touch on those few things as a part two to last week and I'm done for the week I will see you after the next weigh-in I reallyhumbly appreciate Those of you that have watched

Hey y'all, thank you so much for clicking on this video today I'm going to show you My favorite keto friendly and vegan friendly meals

So you know what? Let's go ahead and get into the video Okay So first thing first I am going to be using these meatless meatballs They are from Gardein It is vegan and dairy-free And I really do like these meatballs just like I know some of my favorite like vegan and vegetarian meat are from Gardein Morningstar Farms and I have only tried Three meats from the company Tofurkey and I've like two out of three of those meats So yeah, okay

So nutrition facts for three meatballs It is 150 calories seven grams of fat nine grams of carbs three grams of fiber So that's six grams of net carbs and then 14 grams of protein so here are these spaghetti noodles that I love ever so much y'all they are vegan, gluten free, and Great for like low carb and keto friendly diets I know you can get this brand from Publix and Walmart, if you can't find it at your store, I'll try to Link it down below in the description box, and I also have it in my Amazon favorites Okay So I just went ahead and let my spaghetti Noodles on drain putting on some hot water then just let it drain But now I'm going to go ahead and put my seasonings on my noodles My meatballs are already cooking Because I like doing it where I just have my meatballs cooking because if I let these noodles stay Too long in the oven or on the stove or whatever They're gonna burn so that's what we're not trying to do all my mom has is this Extra-virgin olive oil So this is what I'm going to be cooking with Okay guys, so this is what everything looks like so good Oh my gosh now see this meatless meatballs like I said this is one of my favorite keto friendly and Vegan friendly meals that I made and plus I worked out today So I feel like I deserve this meal, but seriously though y'all look at this You can't even tell that this is vegan meat like this looks like good old regular Meatballs Alright y'all
